“The Celebration” (Festen) directed by Yannis Paraskevopoulos, the show that fascinated theatrical Thessaloniki, after a trip to Athens (where it gave 5 sold out performances in the context of the Athens Festival) returns dynamically at the Foyer of the Society of Macedonian Studies from 8 October 2017.

During a family gathering, the harmony that prevailed for years in the Hansen family home gets disturbed. The honoured person is the father, Helge, a successful businessman, who celebrates his sixtieth birthday surrounded by his family members and close friends. The well-hidden family secrets are revealed, but without really shocking anyone.
 
Helge Hansen is performed by Vassilis Spyropoulos and Christian Hansen by Christos Stylianou.
