A FEW WORDS ABOUT THE PLAY
The avant-garde play “Sillilab: No Difference Between Ho Ho Ho!!!” is dedicated to the 20th century’s leading mathematician, John von Neumann, a multifaceted personality who changed the course of both humanity and technology.

The actors become machines that meet to discuss Neumann, his sensational life, and the career that blazed new trails and remains unmatched and unforgotten. The women in his life—his mother and daughter, his colleagues and all the great scientists of the 20th century discuss him in Roula Paterakis’ singular stage idiom in a performance that combines the human with the artificial and connects the past with the future.

A work which opts to focus on a legendary figure from the sciences so as to remind us that machines can surpass human nature—the law of technological evolution tells us so. And which shines a light on both the drama of Man and Machine, and the drama of a scientist whose advances have inched humanity closer still to Armageddon.
