2006-2007 National Theatre of Northern Greece
Lysistrata - Aristophanes
Opening: Theatro Dassous, 04/07/2007

Yannis Iordanides is directing the well-known Aristophanean comedy Lysistrata with the company of the NTNG, suggesting a modern directing approach for the play which underlies its diachronic and universal nature and reveals the analogies to our times. 'With 'Lysistrata' says Yannis Iordanides- I suggest a new reading of Aristophanes' play through the world of spectacle. The performance is defined on the borderline where theatre and life become one'. For yet another summer season, the NTNG has a powerful presence on stage. A super-production with a company of exceptional artists and technicians.
