In this delighting Shakespeare comedy, love does not obey reasoning nor it succumbs to law. Lovers seeking for their other half, fairies casting spells and magic rites and creating love troubles and a group of craftsmen rehearsing a theatrical performance in order to present it in front of the king: all these meet, in a forest outside Athens, in a summer evening, and are caught in a dream which almost turns to a nightmare. In the first morning light, when the magic chaos of the night gives its place to the clarity of the day, everything seems like a strange summer's dream.
