2000-2001 National Theatre of Northern Greece
Playmobil - Panagiotis Mentis
Opening: Lazaristes Monastery - Studio Theatre, 08/03/2001

Six young people living on the margin, five boys and a girl, in the whirlpool of a violent, mundane life, have kidnapped a factory owner and are holding him hostage. However, being inexperienced and indecisive, they soon lose control of the situation. The roles are reversed and the victim begins to manipulate their juvenile souls. The intensity and conflicts between them reach a climax, while in the meantime the police have arrived outside the house they are hiding in and are threatening them. Panagiotis Mentis records, with almost raw realism, this generation on the margin, a generation rebelling and resisting against the establishment, by facing the cruelty of life like an innocent, children's game.
