“Behind the Paintings”

Theatre and visual arts establish a dialogue in a series of events that will take place in the framework of the collaboration of the National Theatre of Northern Greece with the Teloglion Fine Arts Foundation of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki for second consecutive year.

The first event entitled “Behind the paintings” and directed by Mara Tsikara will be presented at Teloglion on Wednesday 13 & Wednesday 20 December 2017, at 19:30. The event is inspired by the exhibition “Paris and Meropi Preka” that is hosted at Teloglion until 28 January 2018.

Inspired by the horses, tankers, light and darkness of Paris Prekas’ art, four actors share with the audience texts and songs of Nikos Kavvadias, poems of Giorgos Seferis, Nikiforos Vrettakos, Tasos Leivaditis and Nikos Gatsos as well as texts from the exhibition’s catalogue.
