In the fairytale 'Puk' the writer analyses the dynamic conflict of the big and the small, comparing the realistic with the fabulous and the poetic with the grotesque. The fairy-tale begins on a seaside. A little child and an old man are, as by a miracle, in the bottom of the sea in the fairy-like world of silence. The little girl begins to search the magic pearl, which is going to make her a better person, while the old man remembers his wonderful childhood. Both of them live unforgettable moments with the meetings and the conflicts having with the habitants of the bottom and in the end they discover that the magic pearl making people be better does not exist in the bottom of the sea but in the hearts of people.
