The Game of Madness and Wisdom - Giorgos Theotokas
Opening: Vassiliko Theatre, 11/02/1987
Giorgos Theotokas, bases his story on the Byzantine song 'Of Mavrianos and her sister' but remodels the myth and sets on the center a historically existed character, king Andronikos, famous charmer of the women at his time. For the role of the chorus he introduces the presence of the ' popular bird with human voice' knowing and announcing everything. Conveying the material of the initial inspiration in the modern time, organizes a politic canvas, in which he compares two opponent forces: the party of the madness represented by Andronikos and the party of Honesty, represented by Mavrianos.
