Giniol, a popular hero, equivalent to our own Karagkiozis, is poor and owes his landlord ten months' rentals. Due to this bad luck of his, he gets an attack from three powers. Police Authority, Judge Authority and Economic Superiority (policeman, judge and owner) put him to jail because he can't pay his debt. Through his personal agility, he succeeds in deceiving for a while the Authorities who determine his life and have brought him to such a difficult position, conveying thus to children, the social ethics of the writer, who denounces directly the responsibility of the Authorities towards social poverty.
