Ping-pong belongs to the group of plays of Adamov, written according to the logic of Absurd. The basic connective link and symbolic core, which determines the relations in the play, is a mechanic game, ping-pong. Around it, the whole economic mechanism of the trust, the ideology of publicity, the sterility of the professional orientation, the social and economic insecurity and the impasse of the ethical and philosophical meaning in life which has been raised in the mechanic demands of the matter, are analysed. The two heroes of the play represent two different fields, art and science, and this that unites them is the common interest for the ping-pong. In the play we follow their progress in the system of production-consumption and the spending of their creativity and youthful liveliness in an effort to penetrate in the Organization, which means social success and recognition. Adamov denounces the economic structure of the modern capitalistic and paternalistic society and its absurd results in History, Psychology and Philosophy of the human. Through a game of ping-pong between two old men, he goes back to the past and through their relations with the ping-pong, the Organization and other people, develops the absurdity of the mental wear and of the wrong meaning, which keep us slaves within capitalism.
