Berenger, a simple and clumsy little man , gets upset when he learns that the inhabitants of a new and beautiful quarter have locked themselves inside their houses because of a mysterious murderer wandering and tempting his victims with the promise that he will show them the 'photo of the General'. When Beranger learns that the girl with which he has fell in love with, is the most recent victim, he decides to find the traces of the murderer. As Martin Esslin refers characteristically 'The murderer represents the inevitable of death, the absurdity of human existence. This is the death presence lurking behind the most happy and delightful moments transforming them in cold, grey, rainy November of our everyday life'.
