Two pitiable tramps, Vladimir and Estragon, sitting in a deserted road, are waiting for a certain Mr. Godot, who in the past had fixed for them a date in an indefinite place and time. Their waiting is accompanied by an incoherent dialogue and incessant chatting, the monotony of which is interrupted by the intervention of two other characters, a rich master and his miserable servant. At a certain moment, a boy turns up announcing that Godot would not come that evening, but the next one. However, Godot never comes.
