Historical drama in three acts and 11 images with seventy characters. In these images, which are independent of one another, various events concerning the preparation of the 1821 Revolution are described. The backbone connecting the scenes is the central character of the play, the clergyman Grigorios Dikaios, known as 'Papaflessas'. A passionate and bold patriot as well as a devout priest, who uses every possible means, as machination, violence, lie, truth, persuasion and threat in order to precipitate the outbreak of the rebellion. He finally achieves this by taking himself part in the struggle and dying game. A death which atones him and makes him a hero.
