He was born in Athens in 1955 and studied law. He has published 9 poetic collections, the concise volume ''Poems'' 1975-1996 (Kedros, 2000), translations, theatre and literary essays. As from 1976 he writes Drama Criticism. His collection ''Mr Fogk'' has been published in English by Philip Ramp. His translations of Attica and New Comedy have been presented in Epidaurus and elsewhere. In 1996 he was awarded the National Prize of Critique Essay. His poems have been translated into English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Romanian in anthologies. In 2001 he was awarded the Kavafi Prize.
