He studied in the School of Philosophy of Aristotle University, Thessaloniki, where he was appointed as an assistant Professor in the Chair of Ancient History (1954-55). Following that, he taught in secondary Education schools. At first, in private and then in Public schools. In 1961 he served in Benghazi, Libya, for two years. Then he taught in Cassandra, Chalkidiki and in Thessaloniki till 1971. He was transferred to Athens, at first in a High School and then to the Ministry of Education, where he remained to his sudden death (16 February 1985).
