Asterios Peltekis was born in Thessaloniki. He graduated from the Drama School of the National Theatre of Northern Greece and holds an Integrated Master’s degree in Theatre from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Cultural Management at the Ionian University. He has attended seminars in Greece and abroad led by Peter Brook, Bruce Mayers and Sotigui Kouyate on a scholarship. He speaks English, French and Spanish. As an actor and director, he has collaborated in more than fifty performances with the National Theatre of Northern Greece, the National Theatre of Greece, the Cyprus Theatre Organisation, the Pallas Theatre, the Οnassis Stegi, and independent theatres. He teaches Greek to immigrants and refugees on a voluntary basis. Artistic Director of the National Theatre of Northern Greece since March 2022.
