Confined to a psychiatric asylum, in a mountainous part of the war-stricken Balkans, an institution's inmates, some men and a woman, try to survive without food or heating, forsaken by all. An ex-army officer, a psychotic who thinks that people will accidentally tread on him, a deaf actor, a repentant whore, an impotent gypsy, a kleptomaniac and the young psychiatrist in total despair, all make up this comical and tragic group of 'madmen', within the heart of an absurd world. When, one day, a container with supplies intended for the UN army, is swept away by its parachute and falls into their hands, the message is clear: the skies are calling them on a mission of mercy. This disarming group-masquerade of the peace corps, crosses through turbulent eastern Europe, determined to get to Strasbourg and hand over a resolution to the European Parliament. Using a highly amusing theatrical technique, Christo Boichev comments with a bitter humor on historical coincidence, where the boundaries between madness and sanity are questioned, just as the geographical borders of nations and states are.
