A FEW WORDS ABOUT THE PLAY

Belinda strolls the streets of the city, passing the time in aimless wanderings. At the same times, her husband, mad with jealousy, hires a detective to trail her. An eccentric, he follows her wherever she goes... or is she following him? Gradually, a bizarre and silent relationship develops between the two.

Τhe Public Eye, a comedy in one act, was first presented at the Globe Theatre in 1962 directed by Peter Wood, with the following cast: Kenneth Williams, Richard Pearson and Maggie Smith. Ιn 1972, it was adapted by Peter Shaffer into the film Follow Me! directed by Carol Reed and starring Mia Farrow, Topol and Michael Jayston.
