The play takes place before and after the desperate exodus of the heroic besieged people of Mesollogi, in spring of 1826. The only food, a kind of a coastal herb, with which the besieged people beguiled their hunger, caused illusions and paralysis of the extremities in the beginning, leading finally to death. The writer uses this historic context to give the real heroism of the people, who deprived of every help, walk on the verge of dying, while those who survive they are getting trapped in the 'Bottle'. In reality, the survivors of exodus, saw the betrayal of the struggle, and felt the discord of the fighter. As Vasilis Ziogas refers 'Mesollogi is not only Greece but also the everyday crucible of the people within the centuries. 'The Bottle' is not of today. It has always existed. We continue living trapped in the bottle of the establishment'. . (Published in newspaper 'Thessaloniki')
