The 'Artistic Games' is a dance production, based on the idea of 'tableau vivant', that is the live picture of three painters: the British William Terner, the Belgian Magrit and the Japanese Hokousai. The performance consists of three different choreographies in music by Schumann, Prokopief and traditional Japanese music of the 12th century. The first choreography enlivens sea and pastoral scenes from Terner's plays with elements of Greek mythology. The second is based on the play of Magrit 'Human Condition' and the dancers react as a continuity of his pictures while the third choreography is inspired by a wood engraving of Hokousai presenting a parallel action with 'No' theatre.
