A magical journey back to childhood is enough to inspire a masterpiece. P.I. Tchaikofsky’s The Nutcracker, a work of incomparable lyricism and tenderness, is a musical composition with a dream-like, dark narrative on the land of imagination, overflown by dolls, nymphs and thousands of flowers. On a Christmas eve, little Clara receives a nutcracker as a present: a soulless puppet which she holds in her hands as she falls asleep. Then, she immerses in a strange dream where leaden soldiers, rats and bats are caught in a battle. Having her little wooden nutcracker for her guide, Clara comes face to face with her fears and doubts, but also with new and unknown emotions.
