Prometheus comes in conflict with god Zeus, sovereign of the natural and ethical powers, because he disobeyed his order, as he stole fire from Olympus, to offer it to people and save them from a sure destruction. His punishment for this action of love is merciless: he'll stay immobilized for many years on a rock on the top of ''Kafkasos'' Mountain. God Ifaistos accomplishes with grief this joyless task with the Surveillance of Kratos and Via, who act as instrumental tools by order of Zeus. Captive, as Prometheus is, wails for his unfair sentence but endures with courage his horrible suffering, without stopping for a moment to curse and threat the omnipotent Zeus, believing that in the end justice will win
