National Theatre of Northern Greece PLUS is an initiative launching cooperation with different artistic institutions and organizations of Greece. Extroversion, interaction and collaboration are the objectives of this initiative, that is launched with Thessaliko Theatre, the Prime Regional Theatre in the country.
National Theatre of Northern Greece hosts, at the Lazaristes Monastery - Studio Theatre, this year's performance of the Experimental Stage of Thessaliko Theatre "F*ck Strindberg a.k.a. Creditors" by August Strindberg, directed by Alexandros Nikolaos Balamotis, from Thursday 19 to Sunday 22 May 2022.
Creditors, an 1888 play, is a love triangle between a woman and two men, where the three characters are consumed in a struggle for dominance.
In the performance, two male actors take on all the characters of the play including the female one of Tekla. This directorial concept attempts to break down gendered stereotypes, and shed light to the darkness of patriarchy.
