Successful organization of the event NIGHT STORIES > (31/07/2017)

SUCCESSFUL ORGANISATION OF THE NTNG EVENT  “NIGHT STORIES”
 
It was with great success that the NTNG’s event “Night Stories” took place at the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki on Wednesday 26th and Friday 28th of July.

Upon the invitation of the Ministry of Culture and Sports, the National Theatre of Northern Greece participated in the events week (from 23rd to 30th of July), inaugurated by the Ministry in cooperation with museums and archaeological sites throughout Greece under the common theme “Night”.

In the crowded courtyard of the museum, the audience had the opportunity to delight in the recital of texts both by foreign and Greek poets and to listen to the songs about the Night. Extracts from the selected texts were performed by NTNG actors: Eleni Giannousi, Nikos Kapelios, Dimitris Tsilinikos, Anni Tsolakidou and Maria Chatziioannidou, under the directions of Nikos Kapelios.

Meanwhile, during the week 23rd to 30th of July at the all-day summer art workshop, held at Vassiliko Theatre, children looked deeper into the “Night Stories” and they painted, wrote texts, performed theatrical plays and set up a shadow theatre related to the topic. The most important outcome of this workshop is that the children were engaged with the topic of the night through tales, fables, events and that they crafted with their own hands their personal version.
