Theatre workshops for toddlers, children and teenagers organized by the National Theatre of Northern Greece
at the Society for Macedonian Studies, Vassiliko Theatre and -THIS YEAR, FOR THE FIRST TIME- AT Lazaristes MONASTERY

For second consequent theatre season, the National Theatre of Northern Greece organizes, theatre workshops for toddlers, children and teenagers (ages 4-17).
 
On 15 October the magic of theatre started. A fantasy world of creation and expression is created especially for young people. Classes are held at the Society for Macedonian Studies and Vassiliko Theatre and –this year for the first time– at Lazaristes Monastery.
 

 

Registrations began on 27 September. The pricing policy is the same as last year. Specially designed introductory packages for Lazaristes Monastery Workshops will be offered.

Through acting games, improvisation, role playing and educational drama techniques, participants are given the opportunity to develop their creativity, use their imagination, express themselves and learn how to collaborate with other team members. The workshops are led by experienced theatre educators.

Enactment of fairy tales, myths or theatre texts and improvisation open new paths of expression and creativity. These activities act as food for thought; they nourish creativity and help young people cultivate their aesthetic. Children get accustomed with props, costumes, music, lighting by organized visits to the stages and meetings with theatre staff. This way they get first-hand experience of the magical world of theatre.
The workshops will run from 12 October 2016 until 27 May 2017.

For the classes held at the Society for Macedonian Studies and Vassiliko Theatre, the participation fee is 200 € for the whole year (payable in two instalments); if you register a second child, you get a discount price of 120 € per year. For the new classes held at Lazaristes Monastery, the participation fee is 150 € for the whole year (payable in two instalments); if you register a second child, you get a discount price of 100 € per year.

Registrations are made at Vassiliko Theatre Box Office (Tuesday-Sunday, 9:00-21:00). To reserve a seat, you need to fill in a form and pay the first instalment that corresponds to the attendance of the first semester.
