The first trip Excavation 1 touched the city’s audiences in every place it was presented and it became a hit when staged at: the journalists union, the Archaeological Museum, Diavata Prison, OKANA Drug Treatment Centre, the School of Political Sciences at AUTH, Kapani market, evening secondary schools, the Open Places for the Protection of the Elderly, and Zogia Café.    

The tour goes on with a new collection of texts from great writers: Roula Alavera, Tilemachos Alaveras, Manolis Anagnostakis, Nikos-Alexis Aslanoglou, Polyxeni Veleni, Stella Vogiatzoglou, Zyranna Zateli, Leonidas Zisiadis, Tolis Kazantzis, Giorgos Ioannou, Giorgos Katos, Edmund Keeley, Thomas Korovinis, Prodromos Markoglou, Thanasis Markopoulos, Markos Meskos, Georgios Modis, Nikos Bakolas, Tolis Nikiforou, Sofia Nikolaidou, Giannis Palamiotis, Nikos-Gavriil Pentzikis, Nikolas Sevastakis, Tellos Filis, Ifigeneia Chrysochoou. The performance is accompanied by the music and songs of the artists: Dionysis Savvopoulos, Manolis Rasoulis, Nikos Papazoglou, Nikos Mamagakis, and others.

These texts carry the very essence of our beloved city. They allude to individual and collective memory and still they keep the balance between humour and emotion.

Thessaloniki-Excavation 2 will be presented at the Archaeological Museum, the Folklife and Ethnological Museum, Zogia Café, alternative areas, secondary schools and the Open Places for the Protection of the Elderly, starting from the middle of March.
