The world of trains: Stefan Kaegi's miniatures.
''Based on an actual railway model of a miniature train 'set' in Switzerland, Mnemopark analyzes the points of friction between the veiled surface and the mysterious substratum. What does society look like in its industrially manufactured reduplication? By means of mini-cameras, Mnemopark advances through a model of the Swiss Alps like Tarkowski's Stalker into the twists and turns of a mysterious land. The result is a film which is born in front of the audience's very eyes: the simulation of a passage which develops inside the womb of a film studio...'' Excerpt from the notes of director Stefan Kaegi
Running time: 1 hour 30 minutes. Performed in German with surtitles in Greek and English.
