'The rules of the Game' deals with the story of a love 'triangle'. Behind the frivolous ands capricious Silia, her down-to-earth lover Guido and her stoical husband Leone, the compact canvas of the plot is developed. Pirandello takes the human drama of existence and society and shows the rules of its game, helping man to see himself through a new point of view. What remains to the viewer is the self-knowledge of the insignificant importance of the social role, its ironic limits and an unlimited freedom to reveal new rules and permit himself to live in an utopian way.
