Videos and photos from the performance Letter to a Child translated into sign language (17/01/2014)
Yesterday evening, at the
New Hyperoon Stage (Loft)
of the building of the Society for Macedonian Studies, in front of a large audience in "noisy silence", Ms. Zeta Douka had Ms. Konstantina Papageorgiou by her side. The first one performed the play
Letter to a Child
in her own unique way, while at the same time, the latter translated it into Greek sign language!

It was a normal, everyday performance; however, the ambience and the emotions were quite different, as it is neither easy nor common to give a performance addressed to the deaf. This was an initiative organised by the
National Theatre of Northern Greece
, with the assistance of the Hellenic Sign Language Center of Thessaloniki, in a continuation of its series of collaborations that aim at establishing a theatre open to everyone. Once the performance was over, the young sign language students had the opportunity to discuss with Ms. Zeta Douka.
