NTNG participates in the event FROM SPARK TO BLAZE on Saturday 23 September > (08/09/2017)

The National Theatre of Northern Greece participates in the event “From Spark to Blaze”, a multimedia spectacle dedicated to the 100-year anniversary of the Great Blaze, which burned down the largest part of Thessaloniki in 1917 leading to its regeneration. The event is organized by Thessaloniki’s free press magazine parallaxi and initiative Thessaloniki Differently on Saturday 23 September from 18.00 to 22.00 in various spots around the city. It is held in the framework of the 52th Dimitria Festival, in co-production with the Cultural Department of the Municipality of Thessaloniki and with the support of the 82th Thessaloniki International Fair.

Based on an idea of Giorgos Toulas, in authentic texts specially written for the multimedia spectacle by the writer Sakis Serefas, directed by Korina Vasileiadou and Charis Pehlivanidis (In-Flux). The set designer Giannis Katranitsas has designed a model of the city’s seafront façade. Participating artists include: the visual art team Mark & The koksinel, the vocal group Pleiades, NTNG actors Nikos Rammos and Thanos Feretzelis and 35 students of the city’s drama schools, the costume designers Sonia Samartzidou and Eleni Kanakidou, the lighting design team Beforelight, the special effects artist Michalis Samiotis, the graphic designers Dolphins and the filmmaker Christos Nikoleris.
