In the framework of the collaboration of the National Theatre of Northern Greece with the
Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki, the final year students of the
NTNG Drama School present the popular operetta “The Godson” by Τheophrastos Sakellaridis, on Wednesday 30 August, at the Atrium of the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki.
“
Zacharoulis and Vivika, residing in Athens, celebrate their second wedding anniversary. Among the guests will be Kiki and Xanthippi –Vivika’s old classmates– a churchwoman and a colonel, Vivika’s uncle. The story recounts the numerous misunderstandings caused by a soldier who visits Vivika pretending to be her beloved godson, Markos Kortasis. In fact, he is Petros Harmidis, Kiki’s husband and Kortasis’ fellow soldier, who looks like him. Harmidis confesses his love to Vivika and things get complicated when Vivika is caught by her uncle kissing Harmidis and spontaneously introduces him as her husband, while introducing her real husband as her godson. When the real godson turns up, the situation is eventually resolved”.
