The National Theatre of Northern Greece is organising a series of activities in order to introduce Greek audiences to important playwrights of world theatre, Their works are currently being staged at NTNG venues.
All events are admission-free and open to the public.

An Enemy of the People meets the People: Rehearsing Ibsen
Meet the creators: Min(d)ing Ibsen An Enemy of the People meets the People. The main contributors of this performance, Korina Vassiliadou and Haris Pehlivanidis, winners of the 2013 International Ibsen Scholarship awarded by the Norwegian Ministry of Culture for this project, present the original idea behind it and discuss with the audience the crucial and timely social issues it raises.

Peer Gynt's Journey in 3 + 1 Pictures: Techniques for theatrical games and drama education for teachers and adults.

“5+5=1.1” 5 Directors, 5 Actors, 1 Script, 1 Hour of Rehearsal = Presentation
Five directors from the National Theatre of Northern Greece collaborate with five actresses chosen via a draw. Actresses who put their name down are invited to present themselves at an appointed time at the Theatre of the Society for Macedonian Studies. Five names will be drawn and the same script will be given to each actress, who will only have half an hour to learn the lines. There will be a second draw to see which director will direct which actress, and they will then have only one hour to rehearse before they present what they have prepared. Open to professional actresses between the ages of 30 and 50.

The Thessaloniki Film Museum / Cinematheque invite you to discover what happened when the cinematic medium encountered the influential playwright. Footage, discussions and …….a camera will be rolling throughout the tribute.
