“This Summer we go on Vacation to …the Theatre!”
Registrations start on May 25th 2017
Last summer 700 "little artists" participated in NTNG’s workshops. This summer, from June 19 to September 8, the National Theatre of Northern Greece takes you once again to a world of expression and imagination where children develop their creativity through visual and performing arts.
A group of experienced educators has created for preschool and school age children (special groups for children 4-5, 6-7, 8-9 and 10-11 years old) eleven (11) different thematic weeks with specific activities such as: guided tours at the theatre, interactive walks (cultural-educational activities outdoors), music, dance-movement, theatre, narration, projections, painting, special constructions. On this journey children explore, learn, express themselves, socialize and create the world they want. But above all they have fun!
The workshops take place from Monday to Friday, 7:30 – 16:00, during the whole summer period (19 June – 8 September). Participation in the programme is versatile. You can choose from one week minimum to as many weeks you wish (with the possibility of a delayed arrival and an earlier departure). The groups conform to specific standards (small groups, strict age homogeneity), so that their educational nature is ensured.
The participation fee is 70 € / per week. In case of registration of a second child of the same family, the fee is reduced to 60 € / per week. The same discount (60 € / per week) is valid for registrations up to fifteen days before the workshop’s launch. FREE breakfast and lunch are provided.
Registrations are made at the Box Office of Vassiliko Theatre (White Tower Square) by filling out the relevant application form and paying the participation fee.
Download the application form here and the relevant statement here, fill them in and submit them both to the Central Box Office of Vassiliko Theatre.
Box Office Opening Hours Tuesday-Sunday 9:00-21:00 (until 02/07) and Monday-Friday 9:00-21: 00 (3/07 to 30/08)
Participants are kindly requested to have with them a hat, sunscreen, water and spare clothes.
This year, for the first time, the programme is enriched with a psychologist/ psychodramatist who organizes special workshops on human rights for children of D, E and F classes of primary school.
In addition, once a week, parents have the opportunity to participate in an “open” class led by an educator, having a chance to spend “quality time” with their children.
