For a limited number of performances
Mikro Theatro Agriniou arrives in March at the Lazaristes Monastery – Studio Theatre with the performance “
First-hand: A performance on tobacco workers”. The performance that was presented with great success in Agrinio and Athens is hosted in the Studio Theatre for a limited number of performances, directed by Georgia Mavragani.
Three actors, using as materials real memories and stories of people who worked as tobacco workers or tobacco farmers in tobacco crops in Agrinio, they compose a performance – praising the daily labour of the people and their father´s land.
Georgia Mavragani invests in memories and experiences of grandmothers, great-grandparents, grandfathers and children who grew up and came of age in the tobacco smell. Soil, earth, tears, laughter, warehouses, dreams, fields, love, labour, quarrels and an inexplicable desire to return to that era.
