Big Days

The National Theatre of Northern Greece organises for fourth consecutive year Big Days – daylong free events dedicated to writers. 

The first Big Day of this theatre season is dedicated to Iakovos Kambanellis, the famous playwright who played a crucial role in contemporary Greek dramaturgy, and is going to take place on 3 December at the Society for Macedonian Studies.


60 years after its first presentation, “The Backyard of Μiracles”, the landmark play of Iakovos Kambanellis, is presented by the NTNG, directed by Kostas Tsianos, at Lazaristes Monastery - Sokratis Karantinos Stage, attracting thousands of spectators.

With this Big Day, the National Theatre of Northern Greece gives the audience the opportunity to learn about the work and the personality of Iakovos Kambanellis through workshops addressed to adults and children, events, improvisation and dramatization exercises, lectures and discussions.
