The historic event of the arrival of English warships in the port of Salonica in 1917 and the grave of an English soldier is the beginning of the myth of 'Salonica'. The advanced age, loneliness and death within the frame of the town of Salonica, are the subjects, which the play treats. Its heroes, five English subjects implicated in a peculiar game between reality and imagination, where past is mixed with the present. The myth deals with human relations and the passion for life, love, death, old age, freedom, the horror of the war, submission, loneliness, and his effort for communication.
